COMMUNICATION
In our numerous roles, sometimes we do not have the time to reflect upon our own identity and how that can impact our relationships at work and in our personal lives. Topics such as privilege, marginalization, and intersectionality are highlighted.
As efforts toward increasing diversity and representation continue, sometimes we are behind the curve as far as cultural values and how to honor numerous perspectives simultaneously. This training focuses on practical skills to help individuals navigate various perspectives with care and respect.
Unfortunately, suicide is becoming more and more common, as the second leading cause of death among youth ages 10-24. This training focuses on ways to assess for risk, and what your organization can do to support others and connect them to appropriate resources.
Although it may sound like an easy thing to do, communicating effectively is often easier said than done. This training focuses on communication style, as well as strategies for active listening in order to constructively address conflict and differences.

"Lauren Mascari did an amazing presentation for MPS School Social Workers this morning. They knocked it out of the park with their content, engaging PowerPoint presentation, and their keen ability to compassionately connect with attendees though Zoom. Their content touched on loss, managing through COVID, and self-care techniques. This was a voluntary presentation but drew well over 70 MPS attendees."
